Montessori Education is an educational approach developed by an Italian Physician and Educator Maria Montessori and characterized by an emphasis on independence, freedom within limits and respect for a child's natural, psychological, physical and social development. Montessori method of teaching is also based on the belief that children are individuals with their own strengths, needs, likes and learning styles.

The Montessori Method of education is a child-centered educational approach based on scientific observations of children from birth to adulthood. Dr.Montessori's method has been time tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures throughout the world. 90% of the Montessori schools have children between the age group of 3-6. The main idea of the Montessori method of teaching is allowing children to learn on their own having the guidance of a teacher. The teacher assesses each student and based on their skills leads him/her into new areas of discovery.
